Since graduating from the University of Bath in the UK, Robert has directed and developed international ski and snowboard programmes as well as summer camps and school outdoor education programmes for more than 30 years. His wide-ranging experience extends from directing summer camps in the UK and the Ardèche, France, to leading trekking tours in Nepal, and he has travelled extensively throughout Western Europe, India, Nepal, Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada and the USA. Living and working in Anzère, Switzerland, Robert enjoys the mountain environment year-round, but travels extensively to meet party leaders and parents at schools throughout the world.
Lawrence was raised in the surf capital of the United Kingdom and grew up with a passion for outdoor sports. Following his first winter season in New Zealand, he traded sand, sea and surf for cool mountain air and incredible vistas. After becoming immersed in mountain life, his work in events co-ordination, summer camps and youth organisations allowed him to live and travel across some of the world’s most famous mountain resorts in Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Lawrence joined the Viamonde family in 2013 and manages all aspects of our operations, staff recruitment, staff training and programme development.
Adam began his ski and snowboarding career in Quebec, Canada. After quickly advancing through Canadian certification and obtaining a directors position, Adam set his goals to teach at a more international level in the Swiss Alps. As well as his extensive ski and snowboard teaching experience, Adam brings creativity and enthusiasm to Viamonde. Adam travels extensively between our different resorts throughout the winter season to spend time with teachers during their stay with us to ensure that all their expectations are being met and wherever possible, exceeded.
Ed discovered his love of skiing at the age of 10 on a family trip to Andorra. From a young age, he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the ski industry. In 2015, he began working winter seasons in both the northern and southern hemispheres so that he could maximize his time in the mountains. Ed joined Viamonde in 2016 and brought with him a wealth of experience and qualifications, having instructed in Europe, New Zealand and Japan. With more than 10 seasons of experience, Ed is extremely passionate about sharing his love of snowsports with others and works hard to ensure that all the students in our care get the most out of their time with us. Ed manages our Saas-Grund ski and snowboard operations but also manages other resorts at busy times of the season.
Aldo is a winter sports enthusiast and qualified instructor who entered the ski world driven by his passion for exploring the Alps. Aldo joined us in 2017 and had such a fantastic experience that he decided to leave the corporate world to work in the mountains year-round. His boundless energy and years of experience soon saw him become a key member of the Viamonde family, ensuring that our guests are always satisfied with all aspects of their trip.
Kumah and Luna usually hang out at the Viamonde office in Anzère, but they love visiting our resorts to meet our clients.
